Indications
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Fever
  • Acute Pain
  • Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis

Mechanism of action

It works by blocking the cox-1and cox-2 enzymes which is involve in the production of prostaglandins which mediates inflammation, fever ,As this enzyme converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandins therefore, it inhibits it.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption: It is absorbed orally Protein binding: It is about 99.9% bound to serum albumin
Metabolism: It is metabolized in the liver and undergoes hydroxylation and glucuronide conjugation.
Excretion: It is excreted in unchanged form in the urine.

Contraindications
