Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of statin .It helps in lowering the increased lipid level and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Mechanism of action
It inhibits the enzyme hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme A Reductase which catalyzses the conversion of HMG-COA to mevalonic acid which involves in the synthesis of cholesterol so, rosuvastatin inhibits that enzyme.

Absorption:It is absorb by oral route of administration.
Protein Binding: It is about 88% bound to plasma protein, mainly to serum albumin.
Metabolism:It is metabolized to N-desmethylrosuvastatin.
Excretion:It is excreted via urine and feces
