Description

Ginseng:

is any of eleven different species of short, slow growing perennial plants with fleshy roots. Ginseng is believed to restore and enhance normal well-being. Ginseng is one of the most popular herbal remedies in the world today. Ginseng is used for low iron in the blood (anemia), diabetes, trouble sleeping (insomnia), nerve pain, fever,blood and bleeding disorders, painful joints. Ginseng can be used to improve the health of people recovering from illness. It increases a sense of wellbeing and stamina, and improves both mental and physical performance. Ginseng can be used to help with hepatitis C, and symptoms relating to menopause, and can also be used for lowering blood glucose levels and controlling blood pressure. Ginseng has been shown to reduce the levels of stress in both men and women. Those that take ginseng regularly are able to withstand higher amounts of physical and emotional stress.

Ginkgo Biloba Extract:

contains high levels of flavonoids and terpenoids, which are compounds known for their strong antioxidant effects. Ginkgo has the ability to reduce inflammation caused by various conditions. This may be one of the reasons it has such broad health applications. Ginkgo can increase blood flow by promoting the dilation of blood vessels.

Citrus Bioflavonoid:

are a group of what are called “polyphenolic” plant-derived compounds. Bioflavonoids are antioxidants. These compounds may protect your cells from free radical damage. Free radicals are toxins in the body that can damage healthy cells. Flavonoids may also influence the ability of vitamin C to be absorbed and utilized by the body. It can suppress the formation of reactive oxygen species, scavenge free radicals produced and increase the efficiency of body’s antioxidant system.

Green Tea Extract:

Green tea extract usually contains caffeine along with other plant compounds called catechins, including epigallocatechins-3-gallate while catechins have strong antioxidant potential. It is also associated with a lower risk of coronary artery disease. A meta-analysis found that consuming green tea or green tea extract with 150 to 2500 milligrams of catechins daily intke improved patients’ cholesterol profiles.

Carotenoids:

Carotenoids are thought to provide health benefits in decreasing the risk of disease, particularly certain cancers and eye disease. Types of carotenoids are beta-carotene, lycopene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. the beneficial effects of carotenoids are thought to be due to their role as antioxidants. beta-Carotene may have added benefits due its ability to be converted to vitamin A. Furthermore, lutein and zeaxanthin may be protective in eye disease because they absorb damaging blue light that enters the eye.

Lycopene:

Lycopene is a plant nutrient with antioxidant properties. It’s the pigment that gives red and pink fruits, such as tomatoes, watermelons and pink grapefruit, their characteristic color. Lycopene has been linked to health benefits ranging from heart health to protection against sunburns and certain types of cancers.

Vitamins::

Vitamins are organic compounds required in minute quantities to sustain life. There are currently 13 recognized vitamins out of which B and C are water soluble and rest are fat soluble. Most vitamins need to come from food as human body does not produce enough of them, or it does not produce any at all. Each organism has different vitamin requirements. For example, humans need to consume vitamin C, or ascorbic acid and vitamin B as they are not synthesized in the body. They are also considered as microsomal enzymes which are essential to normal metabolism.

Minerals::

A mineral is a chemical element considered as an essential nutrient by organisms to perform functions necessary for life. Mainly there are four major structural elements in the human body by weight which are oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, and nitrogen, are usually not included in lists of major nutrient minerals. Listed elements compose about 96% of the weight of the human body, and major minerals (macrominerals) and minor minerals (also called trace elements) compose the remainder. These cannot be synthesized biochemically by living organisms. The five major minerals in the human body are calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and magnesium. Rest remaining elements in a human body are called "trace elements". The trace elements that have a specific biochemical function in the human body. Amino acids, often referred to as the building blocks of proteins, are compounds that play many critical roles in your body. They're needed for vital processes like the building of proteins and synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters. Some may also be taken in supplement form for a natural way to boost athletic performance or improve mood. Out of 20 amino acids only 9 are essentials which are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine as they can’t be made human body.
