Our supplement comprises of Cranberry Extract, D-Mannose and Hibiscus Extract. Our product is effectively useful for Urinary tract infections. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most common form of bacterial infection, accounting for 7 million office visits, 1 million emergency room visits, and 100,000 hospitalizations each year, with an estimated cost of $1.6 billion annually. One third of all women will contract a UTI by the age of 24. Once a woman has contracted a UTI, her risk of recurrence is 20%.
The proanthocyanidins in cranberry effectively prevent UTIs by blocking E. coli from adhering to the urinary tract and bladder. Cranberry is especially effective for women who endure numerous UTIs annually. D-Mannose is also used to help prevent urinary tract infections because it inhibits bacteria from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract.
Like cranberry, extract of Hibiscus prevents bacteria that cause UTIs from adhering to the linings of the urinary tract and bladder wall and may also possess bactericidal effects. Abundant in polyphenolic compounds, hibiscus may exhibit bactericidal (bacteria-killing) properties comparable to the other antibiotics.

Pharmacology

Cranberry Extract:

Cranberry extract offers a host of antioxidants and nutrients that help fight infections and boost your overall health. Cranberries are already popular as juice and fruit cocktails; however, in medical terms, they are commonly used to treat urinary complications. Cranberry extract might also play a role in stomach ulcer treatment. Due to the multiple vitamins and minerals present in cranberries, they can make a healthy addition to a balanced diet.

UTI Prevention:

Urinary tract infections affect the urinary system, including the bladder and urethra, caused by the development of bacteria. Women are more likely to develop a urinary infection than men, and these infections are often recurrent and painful. Cranberry extract prevents the infection from reoccurring by stopping the bacteria from attaching to the cells that line the bladder. Antibiotics treat urinary infections; only use cranberry as a preventative measure.

D-Mannose:

D-mannose is a type of sugar that is related to glucose, but it does not behave like sugar in the body. It is used to help prevent urinary tract infections because it inhibits bacteria from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract. If bacteria can't latch onto your bladder, it's less likely to cause an infection. Some people are prone to getting repeated bladder infections; D-mannose can greatly improve quality of life and reduce reliance on antibiotics. Although antibiotics are sometimes necessary, they can have very detrimental effects on your immune system. Preventing an infection in the first place is a much healthier option. D-mannose is a natural molecule that is found in cranberries If you have a bladder infection, sugar is the last thing you should consume because it can encourage the growth of harmful bugs and fuel an infection. Apart from D-mannose, the other beneficial component of cranberries is a type of antioxidant called proanthocyanidins. Menopausal women are at high risk of getting a UTI because the loss of estrogen causes thinning of the tissue of the bladder and urethra. A thinner lining is more prone to infection with bacteria

Hibiscus Extract:

The hibiscus plant has been traditionally used to treat urinary infection, menstrual cramping, high blood pressure, sooth the respiratory tract and has been used externally for skin and hair health. It is rich in a variety of natural compound, such as anthocyanins, proanthocyanins, polysaccharides and organic acids that have led it to being further studied for its ability to prevent and treat UTIs.
